Game Description

The King of Fighters XII has got even better to celebrate its 15 birthday and for the first time ever it has had an amazing, state of the art makeover. It now features 22 amazing looking, hand drawn 2D fighters from SNK’s arcade history. All of the sprites that have been used in the past have been tossed in the bin and replaced with the new 2d high definition, high resolution sprites on new, and high detail backgrounds.

The King of Fighters XII is set to amaze people with the new game play features such as critical counter attacks, Sousai counter attacks and guard attacks as well as the addition of new online features. The game’s traditional mode is arcade which has the 3 on 3 combat that the series has been known for since the first instalment which works like a small elimination tournament. You start by choosing three different fighters before you start and the fights are fought one on one until fighter is eliminated and then the winning character starts the next bout with the next opponent. This happens until all three fighters from a team are eliminated.

Hardcore gamers will be pleased to see that this game has taken a selection of fan favourites like Terry, Joe Higashi, Iori Yagami and Bogard while adding two new exclusive fighters in Mature and Elisabeth which have brand new moves and bring their own tricks and characteristics to the fight.

Multiplayer on the Xbox 360 will support some advanced multiplayer features like Trueskill Leaderboards and overall it is a complex entry to the KOF series and one that hardcore gamers will love.
