Army of Two The 40th Day
Game Description
Army of Two : The 40th Day is set in Shanghai and the difference in this instalment is that it is set over a couple of days rather than several years. Salem and Rios return and carry on accepting missions with their own private military services called Transworld Operations. To start they accept a mission that is stupidly easy but at the end everything goes wrong in Shanghai. Aircrafts are falling from the sky, Buildings blow up and Salem and Rios have to survive to figure out who did this.
The first game’s single player was good but what stood out were the co-op and Xbox Live modes because playing with a real life person was much more entertaining than the dire AI bots. Nothing has changed in The 40th Day, playing split screen or online is still by far the best way to play.
The AI has improved slightly and it helps with single player co-op mode and it feels much more realistic than the original. If you switch to a certain gun and take a shot then the bot will be clever enough to trust you and do exactly what you do to help you out.
Army of Two : The 40th Day Multiplayer has also improved with its three game modes. With Co-Op Deathmatch you and your partner can face off against other 2 player teams in a Capture the Flag style game but instead of capturing the flag you fight to hold a point on the map. “Warzone” is an objective based mode which will be constantly changing the missions while you are playing. Multiplayer stands out by far and many players suggest this should only be played with friends.
